Job summary

SeaWorld San Diego is seeking enthusiastic A/V & Electronic Technicians to support the Technical Services team. You will assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of audio, video, and electronic elements for shows, exhibits, and seasonal events.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, frequency coordination, and safe operation of equipment. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of related experience and an associates degree or technical training.

Qualifications

At least 3 years related experience in troubleshooting and repair of audio, video, and electronic circuits or devices.
Associates degree, vocational training, or technical trade school preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of A/V systems including signal flow, switchers, mixers, show control, surveillance, wireless mics, and computer-based media equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues in A/V, wireless mics, show control, and special effect systems; replace/repair as needed.
Ability to test and coordinate frequencies for wireless systems.
Proficient in setting up wireless microphone/in-ear systems and testing show control functions.
Willingness to work at heights and lift up to 50lbs.
Excellent guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation/strike of audio, video, and electronic elements for shows, exhibits, and events.
Assist with maintenance of A/V and electronics across displays, attractions, and seasonal events.
Open/close technical elements for rides, attractions, and shows.
Complete projects with minimal supervision.
Respond to park trouble calls with minimal assistance.
Maintain safe work environment and practices.
Set up/strike equipment for large events and private parties.
Support at Sesame Place San Diego as needed.
