  • Assess the technology landscape and identify opportunities for modernization, simplification, standardization, reuse, and cost optimization.
  • Translate business capabilities into current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures.
  • Evaluate technology investments and recommend whether platforms should be retained, enhanced, consolidated, replaced, or retired.
Solution Design and Implementation
  • Lead end-to-end enterprise solution design with SAP S/4HANA as the core ERP, integrated with enterprise applications, data, cloud services, infrastructure, and security.
  • Lead cross-functional SAP solution design with strong depth in Supply Chain and Order-to-Cash, ensuring alignment across Finance, Procure-to-Pay, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse Management, Transportation, master data, integrations, controls, and reporting.
  • Promote standard SAP functionality and ensure designs address data integrity, performance, availability, recovery, scalability, and supportability.
  • Provide architectural oversight through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.
  • Review vendor proposals and solution designs for business and technical fit, cost, risk, integration impact, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Technology Leadership and Collaboration
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to business and IT leadership and communicate complex decisions in clear business terms.
  • Provide technical direction to SAP functional leads, developers, integration specialists, data teams, cloud engineers, infrastructure teams, and implementation partners.
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews, resolve architectural issues, and promote consistent engineering practices.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, cloud services, and digital platforms, based on business value, maturity, risk, and organizational readiness.
Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure solutions comply with corporate security, privacy, data, quality, and regulatory requirements, including SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, GxP, computer system validation, electronic records and signatures, and data integrity.
  • Identify architectural risks, technical debt, platform dependencies, resiliency concerns, and lifecycle issues, and define mitigation plans.
  • Maintain architecture decisions, standards, diagrams, roadmaps, and supporting documentation in partnership with cybersecurity, quality, compliance, privacy, legal, and internal audit teams.
Technology Leadership for Mergers Acquisitions and Divestitures
  • Lead technology architecture activities for mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and divestitures, including IT due diligence and risk assessment.
  • Develop Day 1, transition-state, and target-state integration or separation architectures and roadmaps.
  • Assess SAP landscapes, business processes, applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, integrations, customizations, cybersecurity, compliance, licensing, technical debt, costs, and dependencies.
  • Recommend SAP and enterprise technology integration, migration, consolidation, separation, retention, or retirement strategies.
  • Partner with business, finance, legal, operations, quality, cybersecurity, and program teams to support transaction objectives, business continuity, and organizational readiness.
Qualifications
