Job summary

Cohere Beauty is seeking an Enterprise Solution Architect to define and build the technology architecture that will support our next phase of growth.

This senior leadership role spans Business Applications & Integration, Digital Platforms, Data Analytics & AI and Infrastructure & Security as the architectural spine across the organization. You'll move between strategy and hands-on execution, modernizing legacy systems and enabling AI-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in enterprise, solution or domain architecture.
• Direct experience with IBM i / AS400, including modernization, integrations, APIs and data.
• Manufacturing experience with order-to-cash, plan-to-produce, procure-to-pay, quality and regulatory.
• Demonstrated ability to translate technology strategy into an executable roadmap and measurable business outcomes.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to influence senior leaders without relying on formal authority.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to make complex technology understandable to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and own Cohere Beauty's enterprise architecture vision, target state, standards and multi-year technology roadmap.
• Assess and rationalize our application landscape, eliminating redundancy and reducing technical debt across our three manufacturing sites.
• Lead solution architecture for major technology initiatives, from design through implementation and go-live.
• Establish scalable architecture for integration, APIs, data, analytics, AI, infrastructure, security and resilience.
• Optimize and modernize our IBM i / AS400 environment while ensuring it remains secure, supportable and aligned with the future-state architecture.
• Establish common data and integration standards and promote reusable enterprise solutions over disconnected point solutions.
• Partner with leaders across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Commercial, Finance and other functions to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Evaluate technology platforms, vendors, and implementation partners based on strategic fit, total cost, risk and long-term value.
• Serve as a technology change agent, helping the organization understand the business impact of technical debt and fragmented systems.
• Provide architectural leadership and coaching to IT, PMO and implementation partners.

Cohere Beauty is seeking an Enterprise Solution Architect to define and build the technology architecture that will support our next phase of growth.

This is the most senior technical architecture role within IT and serves as the architectural spine across Business Applications & Integration, Digital Platforms, Data Analytics & AI and Infrastructure & Security.

This is not a governance-only role. We are looking for a hands-on technology leader who can move seamlessly between strategy and execution, from defining our future-state architecture and technology roadmap to modernizing our IBM i (AS/400) environment, strengthening integration and data architecture and enabling AI.

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable in the boardroom, in a technical design session, and on the plant floor.

What You'll Do

What You Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 12+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in enterprise, solution or domain architecture.
• Proven experience establishing architecture in a complex or fragmented technology environment.
• Strong hands-on experience across several of the following: business applications, integration, data/analytics, infrastructure, security and AI.
• Direct experience with IBM i / AS400, including modernization, integrations, APIs and data.
• Manufacturing experience with an understanding of core processes such as order-to-cash, plan-to-produce, procure-to-pay, quality and regulatory.
• Demonstrated ability to translate technology strategy into an executable roadmap and measurable business outcomes.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to influence senior leaders without relying on formal authority.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to make complex technology understandable to non-technical audiences.

Preferred

• Experience with Azure/AWS, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, or Entra.
• Experience with MES, LIMS, PLM, WMS, QMS, or EHS platforms.
• Experience in beauty, personal care, CPG, CDMO, food or life sciences.
• Experience with AI/agentic technology in operational environments.
• TOGAF, CISSP, CISM or comparable certification.
• Private-equity-backed or acquisition integration experience.
