Erias Ventures, LLC. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Herndon, VA to architect and maintain scalable, resilient systems for high-volume data alerts.

You will leverage Kubernetes to orchestrate workloads, optimize AWS infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3), and implement Terraform-based provisioning. You will handle routing, DNS, and messaging via RabbitMQ and Kafka, with strong emphasis on observability, CI/CD, and security practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes-based architectures for large-scale data alerts.
• Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.
• Proficiency with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3) and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable, resilient systems for high-volume data alerting.
• Orchestrate containerized workloads with Kubernetes and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS (EKS, EC2, S3).
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Design robust routing and DNS solutions for high availability and performance.

Description

As an Infrastructure Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining scalable, resilient systems that support high-volume data alerting within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will leverage your expertise in Kubernetes to orchestrate containerized workloads, ensuring seamless deployment and management of applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include optimizing cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as EKS, EC2, and S3, and implementing infrastructure as cod with Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration. You will also be tasked with designing robust routing and DNS solutions to guarantee high availability and performance across distributed systems. Success in this position will be driven by your hands-on experience with messaging platforms like RabbitMQ and Kafka, which are essential for handling large-scale data streams and ensuring reliable communication between services. You will benefit from familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, as well as logging and alerting frameworks that enable proactive incident response. Exposure to DevOps methodologies will be crucial, as you will collaborate closely with development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and enhance operational efficiency. Your ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement best practices in cloud security and automation will set you apart in this challenging and rewarding role.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
