Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems. The role emphasizes processing-intensive analytics, real-time data handling, and robust system design.

You will work individually or in teams, review code, and contribute to design decisions. The position offers partial telework options and requires a current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer who develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced technical lead who enjoys working on complex products. Will be the technical lead for a team of software engineers and DevOps engineers to provide solutions to mission customer.

This position may allow for partial telework.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCIwith polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

The candidate must have at least twenty (20) years of general experience in software development or a similar field. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related discipline may be substituted for four (4) years of general experience.

Required skills:

• Experience using the Linux command line interface
• Experience developing microservices using Java and Spring
• Experience developing and maintaining NiFi workflows, creating custom processors, and coordinate with DevOps team to increase processing cluster to keep with velocity and volume of data
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and containerd
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience using system monitoring tools including Grafana and Prometheus
• Experience using Git for version control

Desired Skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery principles and tools such as GitLab CI and ArgoCD
• Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for data indexing and retrieval
• Experience with NiFi for dataflow management and ingestion
• Experience with the Amazon HCI platform
• Strong debugging, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to operate effectively in an Agile development environment and on a multi-disciplinary team
