Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain complex analytics and data-driven software systems. You will work individually or in teams to deliver scalable solutions and contribute to system design decisions.

The role requires a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance within seven years; you will collaborate across disciplines in a growth-oriented environment that values open communication and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; four years of SWE experience may substitute.
• Proficiency in Linux development environments.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, and IDEs (VSCode, Eclipse).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Description

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) / Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance within seven (7) years is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

No demonstrated experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills

• Proficiency working in Linux development environments
• Basic understanding of SW to include exposure to various Languages (C/C++, Python, etc…)
• Experience with the following: Git, GitLab, IDEs (e.g., VSCode, Eclipse, etc…)
• Agile framework experience (Scrum, etc.)

Desired Skills

• Experience with geospatial processing
• Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays
• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools

Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $115,000 - $150,000.
