Hourly Pay Range

$65.52 - $101.56 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights
  • Position: Enterprise Security Architect
  • Location: Skokie, IL
  • Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Hybrid Position
  • Local travel to other corporate locations will be required as needed (Warrenville, Arlington Heights, Hospital locations)
Job Summary

The Enterprise Security Architect will collaborate with IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, and technical and application engineering teams, as well as various clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders, in the secure design and architecture of new and existing technologies supporting the Endeavor Health mission and vision. The incumbent will align clinical and business objectives with IT and IT Security initiatives, drive efficient, effective, and secure operations, and help guide strategic security investment decisions. They will evaluate existing IT systems, services, and applications for efficiency, performance, security, risk, and cost improvements, and provide deep technical expertise across multiple domains while collaborating with security engineers, architects, application teams, and business units. The role requires staying updated on the latest security threats and best practices and advocating for cybersecurity and healthcare industry standards.

What You Will Do
  • Develop complex enterprise security architecture strategies, provide subject‑matter expertise, and deliver thought leadership to solve challenges and innovate solutions.
  • Align security architecture and engineering with the organization’s business objectives, IT strategies, and Cybersecurity goals.
  • Reduce costs and improve resource allocation by optimizing IT and security infrastructure, eliminating redundancies, and integrating new technologies.
  • Contribute to IT and security roadmaps, driving the future state of security and technology for the enterprise, and explain emerging security technology trends and threat landscapes to operational partners and business leaders.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and perform other assigned duties.
What You Will Need
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical, engineering, or investigative discipline, or an equivalent work history with expert‑level security certifications.
  • Certifications: Two or more expert‑level security platform or capability certifications (e.g., CISSP, CRISC, TOGAF, CCSP, SABSA, Microsoft SC‑100, AWS Solutions Architecture or Security).
  • Experience: Nine years in an advanced or expert‑level IT security engineering role with consistent performance in leading security initiatives and developing use cases.
  • Minimum four years in security architect roles.
  • Minimum two years in security project delivery roles, including contracting, architecture design, and implementation.
  • Experience developing and contributing to a comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity strategy.
  • Experience instructing, mentoring, or developing junior team members.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and regulations such as HIPAA, ITIL, NIST, PCI, SDLC, and project management principles.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer service and collaboration with business leaders and staff.
  • Ability to align business objectives with IT and security initiatives and deliver security architecture solutions.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity in a healthcare or critical infrastructure environment, including threat landscapes and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in securing IT platforms according to recognized security and risk‑management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking for problem solving and issue resolution.
  • Curiosity, innovative thinking, and out‑of‑the‑box mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional integrity and ethical accountability.
  • Team‑player attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license for off‑site duties; personal vehicle coverage required if used.
