Job Description

Trucordia is seeking a Procurement Operations Leader, Enterprise Procurement to support the building and scaling of a modern procurement organization that supports enterprise growth, operational excellence, governance, and value creation. This role is responsible for evolving the procurement operating model by designing and improving processes, intake and workflow, governance structures, reporting capabilities, procurement technology, data standards, tools, templates, and cross-functional operating procedures.

The successful candidate will serve as the operational backbone of Trucordia’s procurement organization by creating scalable processes that enable sourcing professionals and business stakeholders to work effectively. This role will help remove process friction, improve visibility and accountability, strengthen technology adoption, and establish consistent ways of working across the procurement lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Procurement Operating Model & Process Design

• Design, document, implement, and continuously improve procurement operating procedures and workflows.


• Establish scalable processes supporting intake, sourcing, contracting, supplier onboarding, approvals, purchasing, renewal planning, supplier management, and governance.


• Develop process maps, standard operating procedures, playbooks, templates, decision rights, service standards, and controls.


• Identify process bottlenecks, unclear ownership, unnecessary handoffs, and rework, and implement practical solutions.

Procurement Transformation & Continuous Improvement

• Lead procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to enterprise priorities.


• Develop and manage implementation roadmaps, project plans, dependencies, risks, decisions, and change activities.


• Establish key performance indicators and service measures for procurement effectiveness, efficiency, adoption, cycle time, and stakeholder experience.


• Partner with sourcing managers to ensure new processes enable category management and sourcing execution rather than add administrative burden.

Procurement Technology & Digital Enablement

• Serve as a business owner and functional lead for procurement workflow, intake, reporting, and related technology capabilities.


• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Cybersecurity, and technology providers to improve configurations, integrations, data flows, controls, and user experience.


• Identify automation and AI-enabled opportunities that reduce manual work, improve data quality, and support decision making.


• Develop adoption plans, user guidance, training materials, and support processes for procurement tools and workflows.

Intake Workflow & Governance Management

• Develop and maintain a clear procurement front door, intake standards, routing logic, triage processes, ownership models, and service expectations.


• Establish governance for sourcing requests, supplier onboarding, contract workflows, renewals, technology acquisitions, and purchasing activities.


• Monitor workflow performance, exceptions, aging, handoffs, and service levels and coordinate corrective actions.


• Support procurement policy development, procedure alignment, controls, and enterprise adoption.

Data, Analytics, & Reporting

• Develop procurement dashboards, reporting frameworks, operational metrics, and executive-ready insights.


• Establish data definitions, ownership, quality standards, and reconciliation practices across procurement processes and systems.


• Analyze activity, cycle time, demand, supplier, contract, savings, opportunity, adoption, and stakeholder data to identify improvement priorities.


• Maintain transparent, auditable, and repeatable reporting that enables leaders and team members to trace information to its source.

Business Partnership & Change Enablement

• Build trusted relationships across Finance, Legal, IT, Cybersecurity, Facilities, HR, Marketing, Operations, and other business functions.


• Facilitate cross-functional process design, decision making, issue resolution, and adoption of new ways of working.


• Communicate process changes clearly and develop practical materials that help stakeholders understand requirements, roles, and next steps.


• Support the procurement team with tools, training, standards, and operational guidance that improve execution and consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, plus 5+ years in Procurement Operations, Procurement Excellence, Procurement Transformation, Business Operations, Program Management, Strategic Procurement, or related fields.


• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or improving business processes, workflows, operating models, or technology-enabled capabilities, including managing cross-functional initiatives, process documentation, governance, metrics, and change adoption.


• Strong analytical, project management, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.


• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite; Power BI; NetSuite or equivalent ERP; Zip or equivalent procurement workflow platform; Jira or equivalent project management tool; process mapping tools; and business analytics platforms.


• Comfortable independently mapping processes, analyzing operational data, building dashboards, executive presentations, and business cases, managing implementation plans, and translating operational findings into scalable solutions for senior leaders.


• Thrives in fast‑paced, high‑growth, and evolving environments, with the flexibility and judgment to contribute beyond traditional functional boundaries.

Nice to have:

• Experience building or scaling procurement operations, excellence, or transformation capabilities, including improving intake, source-to-contract, procure-to-pay, supplier onboarding, renewal, reporting, or governance processes.


• Experience implementing, configuring, optimizing, or driving adoption of procurement workflow, ERP, reporting, contract, supplier, or intake technologies.


• Experience developing process maps, SOPs, playbooks, controls, training materials, and change plans.


• Experience establishing KPI frameworks, service measures, dashboards, and executive reporting.


• Familiarity with AI-enabled business tools, automation, and analytics platforms.


• Experience supporting multi‑site, acquisition‑driven, or high‑growth organizations.
