Job summary

PNC is seeking a Data Engineer in the Lending Tech organization. You will design, build, and operate high-volume OLTP databases (MySQL/Oracle) supporting lending transactions, ensuring performance, security and resiliency.

Based in one of several locations (Miamisburg, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; Birmingham, AL; Strongsville, OH), you will collaborate with engineering, SRE and security teams to deliver reliable data services and cross-team documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing and operating high-volume enterprise OLTP databases.
• Advanced SQL and performance tuning across MySQL and Oracle.
• Experience with backup/restore validation, patch planning, monitoring/alerting, incident response, and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve an enterprise transactional data model for lending payment processing (OLTP).
• Define database standards for reliability, performance, and resiliency across MySQL and Oracle.
• Implement and operate high availability and disaster recovery patterns; validate operational readiness.
