Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a Network Operations Engineer for a 12-month contract in Columbia, SC. You will monitor and support enterprise wired/wireless networks, perform field deployments, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain documentation and runbooks.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience with Cisco/Aruba/Fortinet devices and TCP/IP. Expect on-site work with potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience with enterprise network technologies including switching, routing, wireless networking, and TCP/IP protocols.
• 2+ years of experience configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cisco, Client, Aruba, and Fortinet devices.
• 2+ years of experience diagnosing and resolving network connectivity, performance, and security issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure across campus environments.
• Perform field installation and deployment of network equipment, including configuring, racking, stacking, cabling, and testing switches.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues through monitoring, analysis, and root-cause investigation; participate in on-call support.
• Maintain accurate documentation, network diagrams, incident records, and runbooks; collaborate with engineering, security, and vendors.
• Support and maintain network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs) and respond to security incidents.
