Job summary

Epic is seeking a network engineer to install, configure, and support our campus and cloud networks. You will evaluate technologies and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure, with a global network environment spanning Cisco and other vendors.

Relocation to the Madison, WI area is reimbursed, and our campus culture emphasizes collaboration and growth. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship and may need COVID-19 vaccination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and track record of academic/professional success.
• Experience or interest in switches, routers, access points, and/or UPSes.
• Cisco enterprise hardware proficiency; CCNA/CCNP preferred.
• Relocation to Madison, WI area reimbursed.

Job description

Please note that this position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

We are seeking a network engineer to install, configure, and support our campus and cloud networks. You'll have the opportunity to evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure. Our global network environment is comprised of a variety of mainstream technologies from Cisco and other vendors. You'll investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms, configure firewall rules, and design and troubleshoot WAN connectivity. With an increased focus on infrastructure as code for deployments, you'll also leverage technologies like Terraform and Ansible. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll be an expert who helps keep us up and running as a company so that we can help some of the nation's largest healthcare organizations improve patient care.
