Job summary

Epic is seeking a network engineer based on our campus near Madison, WI. The role involves installing, configuring, and supporting campus and cloud networks, with opportunities to influence infrastructure, evaluate technologies, and implement IaC using Terraform and Ansible.

You will join a small, collaborative team focused on keeping Epic’s network robust, with relocation assistance and a path to work with some of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience or interest in switches, routers, access points and/or UPSes.
• Proficiency with Cisco enterprise hardware; CCNA/CCNP helpful.
• Relocation to Madison, WI area (reimbursed).
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.

Please note that this position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

We are seeking a network engineer to install, configure, and support our campus and cloud networks. You'll have the opportunity to evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure. Our global network environment is comprised of a variety of mainstream technologies from Cisco and other vendors. You'll investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms, configure firewall rules, and design and troubleshoot WAN connectivity. With an increased focus on infrastructure as code for deployments, you'll also leverage technologies like Terraform and Ansible. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll be an expert who helps keep us up and running as a company so that we can help some of the nation's largest healthcare organizations improve patient care.
