Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking an experienced Advisor, IT Network Development to support and enhance enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on network automation, Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies, and operational excellence. This role will play a key part in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and highly available networking solutions across data center and campus environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of network engineering experience.
• Layer 2/Layer 3 switching (VLANs, VRRP, MC-LAG, STP, VTP, PortChannel, and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP).
• Network design and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with major networking platforms (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on Layer 2/Layer 3 switching technologies.
• Develop and implement network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and optimize network performance, availability, and security across data center and campus environments.
• Automate routine network operations using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network integration and deployment efforts.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Participate in change management, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
