Job summary

S&C Electric Company in Chicago seeks a Senior Manager for Master Data & Governance to lead the enterprise MDM program, governance framework, and transformation across ERP, finance, and manufacturing.

You will define the strategy, operating model, data standards, ownership structures, and change-management plans, partnering with IT, engineering, and business leaders to ensure trusted, high‑quality data that enables global process excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business, information systems, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in Master Data Management, Data Governance, ERP, or Business Transformation.
• Experience establishing enterprise data governance initiatives and ERP implementations (Oracle Cloud preferred).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead enterprise MDM strategy aligned with GBS vision and roadmap.
• Create future-state operating model for master data across the organization.
• Set standards, policies, processes, and controls for master data lifecycle.
• Synchronize business objectives, processes, and data requirements.
• Position master data as a strategic business asset across the enterprise.
• Establish and lead data governance framework with ownership/decision structures.
• Develop governance councils, escalation processes, and data review forums.
• Ensure data quality metrics, scorecards, and reporting are in place.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business partners to support ERP transformations.
• Identify data dependencies/risks and guide data migration, cleansing, and readiness.
