Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in market data strategy or related roles in financial services.
• Deep knowledge of the market data ecosystem and major providers (Bloomberg, LSEG, FactSet, S&P Global, MSCI, ICE, Moody’s).
• Strong understanding of how market data is consumed across workflows (research, portfolio management, trading, risk, compliance, operations, finance).
• Experience managing enterprise market data platforms, inventories, entitlements, vendor catalogs (Calero, TRG Screen, Alveo, or similar).
• Strong commercial and analytical skills: evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate, analyze usage and spend, build business cases.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment; cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience establishing operating models, governance, reporting, and decision-making for enterprise data/market data programs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise market data strategy, including spend optimization, demand management, and vendor rationalization.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of market data landscape: vendors, products, contracts, entitlements, usage, and spend.
• Lead evaluation/governance of market data demand; ensure subscriptions deliver measurable value and ROI.
• Serve as business owner of Calero platform: define vision, requirements, and operating model for visibility into data inventory, licensing, usage, and contracts.
• Partner with COOs, FP&A, Sourcing, Legal, Technology, and Data Operations to align market data investments with priorities.
• Drive transparency via reporting, budgeting, renewal planning, and executive updates (Market Data Steering Committee).
• Lead commercial optimization: vendor consolidation, contract negotiations, license right-sizing, entitlement management.
• Ensure operational management of market data ecosystem: contract compliance, license governance, technology enablement, scalable processes.
