Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. seeks an IT Technical Project Analyst to design, coordinate, and execute installation of complex enterprise software systems.

You will administer, install, configure, customize, and integrate business‑critical systems supporting BWXT’s operations. You will lead planning and coordination to keep enterprise applications running reliably, aligning with BWXT’s strategic goals and delivering measurable impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, plus a minimum of 6 years of directly relevant, hands‑on experience OR; High school diploma/equivalent, plus a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant, hands‑on experience.
• Comprehensive professional experience working in large‑scale enterprise environments.
• Technical proficiency in a windows environment, including Microsoft Windows Servers 2022, or greater.
• Technical Expertise - Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, Web architectures – IIS/WebSphere configuration.
• Previous experience installing and managing enterprise software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or on a team.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide the work performed by the software development team to support integrations with custom in‑house applications.
• Perform client testing, server patching, and deployment activities.
• Coordinate and collaborate with business application stakeholders and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth upgrades, installations, and integration efforts.
• Partner with third‑party vendors, internal development teams, and product owners to align on technical needs and delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Document procedures for installation, upgrades, and customizations.
• Develop clear technical documentation, including architecture guides, diagrams, functional specifications, and security configurations.
• Build and test solutions within formal test, QA, and UAT environments prior to implementation.
