Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a motivated HR Intern to join the People and Culture team for a May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027 internship. The role offers hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations with mentorship from experienced professionals.

You will gain exposure to HR systems and tools, participate in projects, and contribute to meaningful HR initiatives while enjoying a remote work setup for eligible residents.

Schedule Details/Additional Information:The internship will take place May 31, 2027-August 6, 2027. Interns will be scheduled to work up to 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours. This is a remote, work from home position. Remote work is currently only approved for residents living in the following states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY.Pay Range:$21.00 - $21.00

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our People and Culture team. This internship offers hands‑on experience in various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to real‑world HR practices in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Education Required:Enrolled in an accredited College or University as Incoming Junior or Incoming Senior Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Current enrollment with junior or senior status at a regional accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degreeGrade point average of at least 2.5.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong attention to detail.Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.Strong teamwork skills.Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
