Job summary

Xenon Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Manager/Associate Director of Enterprise Integration & Data Engineering to lead design, implementation, and operation of Xenon’s integration and data pipelines. Based in the Boston/Needham area, you will partner with IT, Commercial, Medical, Finance, and Quality teams to deliver scalable, compliant data flows across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, with 7–10 years enterprise integration experience.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations, API integrations, and ELT/ETL pipelines across complex environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud data warehouse architectures and data governance practices.
• Experience with regulated industries (GxP/SOX/HIPAA/GDPR) is a plus.
• Ability to balance strategic architecture with pragmatic delivery in a fast‑paced organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation and maturation of Xenon’s enterprise integration and data engineering capabilities (middleware/iPaaS, API, event-based, file ingestion, ELT patterns).
• Define and maintain an enterprise integration roadmap aligned to ERP, Commercial, Medical, Clinical, Research, and Quality priorities.
• Lead evaluation and governance of integration platforms (Informatica/IICS, Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure, Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake).
• Design and oversee data pipelines between ERP, CRM, data warehouse, EDC/clinical systems, LIMS, eQMS, HRIS, and external partners.
• Establish data contracts, interface specs, naming conventions, monitoring, and runbooks.
