Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Enterprise Engineer to own the legal tech stack, focusing on Ironclad and DocuSign CLM, with strong integration skills using Workato and REST APIs. You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Engineering to ensure scalable, auditable workflows and data integrity across the legal toolchain.

You will drive end-to-end platform ownership, enable automation, and responsibly apply generative AI to improve efficiency and quality, while maintaining human oversight

Qualifications

• Experience administering Ironclad and DocuSign CLM in production environments with complex templates, workflows and permissions.
• Hands-on integration work using Workato, REST APIs, webhooks, and structured data payloads with debugging capabilities.
• Proven data migrations, bulk loads, and reconciliations maintaining data integrity at scale.
• Ability to own a platform end-to-end and translate technical details for Legal and business stakeholders.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human-in-the-loop oversight to improve workflows and cost/quality.
• Familiarity with using AI copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows.

• Execute data migrations, backfills, reconciliations, and ongoing data hygiene across the legal toolchain.
• Govern platform access and credentials for Legal systems, including service accounts, tokens, and access controls.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Engineering to ship changes safely to production.

The EE Legal Platforms team owns and operates Coinbase's legal technology stack, including Ironclad, Evisort, Brightflag, DocuSign, and a deep integration ecosystem spanning Salesforce, Snowflake, Workato, Zip, Symphony, and Slack. As an Enterprise Engineer, you'll build and operate the workflows, integrations, and data foundations that keep Legal systems auditable, reliable, and scalable. You'll partner directly with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver platform improvements and automation across the legal toolchain.

What you'll do:

• Own Ironclad architecture, workflows, and contract lifecycle management, including integrations to upstream and downstream systems.

• Build and maintain system integrations using Workato and APIs, including automation that reduces manual intake and fulfillment work across Legal platforms.

• Support and evolve adjacent Legal Platforms such as Evisort, Brightflag, and DocuSign, with a focus on workflows, integrations, and operational reliability.

• Execute data migrations, backfills, reconciliations, and ongoing data hygiene to maintain system integrity across the legal toolchain.

• Govern platform access and credentials for Legal systems, including service account and token lifecycle management, access controls, and operational documentation.

• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver cross-functional outcomes and ship changes safely to production.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3 to 6+ years administering and evolving Ironclad and/or DocuSign (or comparable CLM and eSignature platforms) in a production environment, including complex template, workflow, and permissions design.

• Hands-on experience building integrations using Workato (or similar iPaaS tools), REST APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, and structured data payloads, with the ability to debug integration failures and resolve data inconsistencies across systems.

• Demonstrated experience performing data migrations, bulk data loads, and reconciliations with a track record of maintaining data integrity at scale.

• Proven ability to own a platform end-to-end, operating independently without detailed requirements and translating technical details into clear guidance for Legal and business stakeholders.

• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

• Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices to deliver business‑ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.

$135,320—$159,200 USD
