Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Endpoint Security Engineer to own security operations for approximately 50,000 endpoints, with emphasis on Tanium and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. This role is a 6-month contract with potential extension, offering $70-$90 per hour.

The engineer will ensure health, compliance, deployment, and performance of endpoint tools, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with IT teams on remediation and improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise Cyber Security Operations.
• Hands-on Tanium experience across core modules (Patch, Deploy, Asset, Discover).
• Strong knowledge of Defender for Endpoint and endpoint detection.
• Experience managing large Windows desktop/server environments (~50k endpoints).
• Experience with Linux and cross-team collaboration.
• Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, Security+).

Responsibilities

• Monitor health, performance, and compliance of endpoint security tools across ~50,000 endpoints.
• Administer Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and other endpoint security tech.
• Use Tanium to query endpoints, deploy software, patch, and remediation at enterprise scale.
• Identify and remediate non-compliant or unmanaged endpoints.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the group.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and IT teams on endpoint configurations and change control.
