Job summary

Pennant Solutions Group is seeking a Contract Project Manager to lead an Enterprise Data Lake implementation. You will drive end-to-end delivery, oversee cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with governance, security, and regulatory standards.

The role requires 5–15 years of experience in data/BI projects, fluency with modern data stacks, and strong communication with executives and vendors. Cloud-based platforms and hybrid delivery are common components of the engagement.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of dedicated project/program management experience in data, BI, and cloud transformation programs.
• Strong working knowledge of Modern Data Stack concepts and data lake architecture.
• Experience delivering data solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Kafka, and related tools; ability to challenge timelines/architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the master project plan, WBS, resources, schedules and budgets for the data lake initiative.
• Establish agile, waterfall or hybrid delivery frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) for complex data engineering tracks.
• Lead coordination across data architects, engineers, BI developers, and security specialists.
• Manage risks, issues, scope, and change control throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure governance, data quality, security, and regulatory compliance across the data lake.
