Job summary

Trustmark National Bank is seeking an Enterprise Data Engineer to design, assemble, and test data infrastructures that meet business requirements across the bank’s data platforms. The role includes building scalable ETL pipelines, developing data models, and implementing NLP modules to enhance data processing and insights.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, security, and governance while enabling advanced analytics for decision makers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data or Computer Science or equivalent certification.
• 4+ years of experience with modern ETL platforms (Datastage, Informatica, Snowpipe, Azure, AWS).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing, and data modeling concepts.
• Moderate to advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, etc.
• Master's degree relevant to data or computer sciences or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains complex systems and infrastructures that collect and process data according to company needs and goals.
• Builds, evolves, and scales out infrastructure to ingest, process and extract meaning from data.
• Designs, develops, and implements mathematical or statistical models to carry out various novel aspects of classification and information extraction from data.
• Leverages existing data infrastructure to fulfill all data-related requests, perform necessary data housekeeping, data cleansing, normalization, hashing, and implementation of required data model changes.
• Designs, develops, and implements natural language processing software modules.
• Uses advanced techniques, theories, and processes to troubleshoots problems, identifies possible solutions, and resolves accordingly.
• Associates are expected to perform all additional duties as assigned.

Location: US-MS-Ridgeland | US-MS, AL, Houston, TX; Memphis, TN; Panhandle FL; Atlanta, GA

Type: Regular Full-Time

Working Hours: 8-5

Overview

The purpose of this position is to design, evaluate, assemble, and test data infrastructures to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Builds, evolves, and scales out infrastructure to ingest, process and extract meaning from data.
• Designs, develops, and implements mathematical or statistical models to carry out various novel aspects of classification and information extraction from data.
• Leverages existing data infrastructure to fulfill all data-related requests, perform necessary data housekeeping, data cleansing, normalization, hashing, and implementation of required data model changes. Analyzes data to spot anomalies, trends, and correlate similar data sets.
• Designs, develops, and implements natural language processing software modules.
• Uses advanced techniques, theories, and processes to troubleshoots problems, identifies possible solutions, and resolves accordingly.
• Associates are expected to perform all additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data or Computer Science, or equivalent certification.
• 4 years of experience with modern ETL platforms, such as IBM Datastage, Informatica, Snowpipe, Azure, AWS, etc.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing and data modeling concepts
• Moderate to advanced proficiency in database languages such as SQL, Python, etc.
