Job summary

American business solutions inc is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design of enterprise information architecture and reusable data products. You will define data models, standards, and governance while partnering with product, engineering, and cloud teams to drive modernization across multiple domains.

The role requires 10+ years in data/enterprise architecture, strong communication, and experience with Snowflake, Databricks, and MongoDB in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Systems Programming or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in data architecture, information architecture or enterprise architecture.
• 8+ years in data architecture/engineering or advanced DB design; modeling data warehouses/data marts; MDM concepts and tools.
• 5+ years with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB on AWS/Azure/GCP; unstructured data experience a plus.
• Experience with data security, privacy and regulatory requirements for sensitive data.
• Experience delivering large-scale modernization/digital transformation across domains; strong cross-stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Define conceptual and logical data models for common business entities.
• Establish canonical models and enterprise information standards.
• Design enterprise information architecture with data classification, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements by design.
• Partner with workflow modernization teams to embed reusable data products into solution designs.
• Analyze legacy systems and identify information assets suitable for enterprise reuse.
• Support data migration strategies and target-state architecture.
• Identify and support design of reusable data products; define schemas, interfaces, metadata and quality requirements.
• Establish product boundaries, stewardship and ownership models.
• Establish data architecture principles, data standards, data catalog, lineage, observability and interoperability.
• Work with engineering/platform teams to translate business concepts into technical designs; collaborate with cloud, integration and data teams.
