Job summary
Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a strategic data and analytics partner to align BU data strategy with enterprise D&A goals and deliver executive-level recommendations that drive adoption and measurable outcomes.
You will collaborate with senior leaders, conduct maturity assessments, and produce roadmaps and dashboards while supporting go-to-market efforts for data products and platform capabilities.
Qualifications
- Ability to translate business strategy into D&A strategy and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven experience serving in a consultative capacity to business leaders to align goals.
- Structure ambiguous problems, design KPI/metric frameworks and scorecards, and translate findings into leadership recommendations.
- Familiarity with change management and organizational development strategies.
- Moderate analytics skills and experience building analytics deliverables (models, reports, dashboards).
- Advanced problem solving and critical thinking; identify root causes and variables.
- Self-starter with curiosity and ability to build relationships to drive change.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise analytics landscape; strong communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent mix of education and experience.

- Support data strategy engagements aligning BU data strategy to enterprise data strategy.
- Conduct cloud data maturity assessments and establish baselines and scorecards.
- Facilitate workshops and cross- BU collaboration to realize value of data ecosystem.
- Produce executive-level deliverables, roadmaps, and quarterly readouts.
- Support go-to-market strategies for data products and platform capabilities.
- Be a BU data subject matter expert aligned with enterprise strategy.
- Drive change management and lead ad-hoc projects; perform other duties as assigned.

Serve as a strategic data and analytics partner to business unit leadership to align and activate business unit data strategy with the enterprise data and analytics (D&A) strategy. Support structured consulting engagements from current-state assessment through roadmap, activation and value realization, and deliver executive-level analysis, recommendations, and deliverables that drive measurable adoption and business outcomes across the enterprise data ecosystem.
- Work collaboratively with senior and executive business stakeholders to identify, define, & prioritize opportunities for data solutions to improve & enhance business processes
- Support data strategy engagements helping align business unit data strategy to enterprise data strategy identifying gaps and providing ongoing support to business unit leadership in a consultant capacity
- Conduct current-state cloud data maturity assessments across data ingestion, adoption, user experience, use case development, value realization; establish BU-level baselines and scorecard metrics to benchmark progress
- Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and working groups for varying audiences (technical and leadership) driving cross-business unit collaboration and alignment, and value realization of a shared cloud data ecosystem
- Produce executive-level consulting deliverables including structured recommendations and presentations, quarterly business reviews, executive summaries and leadership readouts translating findings into structured, actionable insights and roadmaps
- Support go-to-market strategy and activation campaigns supporting internal enterprise data teams for tools, platform capabilities and value realization of data products
- Become business unit data subject matter expert and understand the vision, purpose, and strategy of the business and how this creates and aligns with the enterprise data and analytics strategy and vice versa
- Drive executional excellence and department level change management to broad based initiatives, ad-hoc projects and tiger team assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to translate business strategy into D&A strategy, programs, and initiatives, then lead the execution of the cross-functional initiatives
- Proven experience and desire to serve in a consultative capacity to business leaders, shaping strategy, goals, and alignment of stakeholders with competing interests
- Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous business problems, design KPI/metric frameworks and scorecards, and translate quantitative findings into leadership recommendations action plans, consulting-style presentations, executive summaries and readouts
- Familiarity with change management and organizational development strategies to influence and assist organizational change initiatives
- Moderate skills in analytics and extrapolating data, and experience building analytics-focused deliverables (models, reports or dashboards)
- Advanced problem solving, critical thinking, able to identify root cause / central question, identify variables and considerations
- Self-starter, intellectuality curious; comfortable in pushing the conventional thinking to drive change by building relationships
- Working knowledge of cloud platform and understanding of enterprise analytic landscape and best practices Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Prior strategy or technology consulting experience
- Knowledge of Agile methodology, Databricks, Power BI, Python, Apache Spark and SQL
- Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal Credit Union instructions, operations and objectives
- Master’s Degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
