Job summary

Coverys is seeking a Data Architect to design and evolve an enterprise data platform and data integration pipeline. You will drive governance, modeling, and scalable data structures across underwriting, claims, finance, and analytics.

You will lead cloud-native ELT/ETL development, optimize Snowflake workloads, and mentor the data engineering team while aligning with enterprise architecture standards. A strong background in data governance and BI tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in data architecture or data engineering.
• Strong data modeling experience across conceptual, logical and physical models.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with data quality, metadata, and lineage frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise data architecture aligned to business domains.
• Develop canonical and semantic data models to support analytics and reporting.
• Lead ELT/ETL pipelines using cloud-native tools; migrate to event-driven ingestion patterns.
• Optimize Snowflake workloads for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Mentor analytics engineers and collaborate with analysts and actuaries.
