Job description

We are seeking a senior technology and client-facing leader who can bridge business strategy, enterprise architecture, and execution. This individual will serve as the trusted technology advisor to client leadership while partnering with Xceedance delivery teams to drive successful transformation outcomes.

Based in Boston and embedded with the client, this role is the senior Xceedance technology voice in the US time zone — shaping the technology agenda alongside client executives, framing modernization opportunities, and translating business ambition into architecture and delivery reality across one of our most significant strategic accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the trusted technology advisor to client, Enterprise Architecture, and Enterprise Solutions Portfolio leadership.
• Provide strategic guidance on technology modernization, architecture decisions, and risk management.
• Serve as the single point of contact for engineering discussions from Xceedance in the US time zone.
• Participate in person in architecture discussions and decisions, replacing multi-cycle email exchanges with real-time resolution.
• Proactively surface risks, mitigations, and trade-offs to senior leadership, with clear articulation of business impact.
• Build relationships across client technical teams, sharing knowledge and increasing alignment between organizations.

Growth & Transformation Enablement

• Partner with account leadership to identify modernization, cloud, data, AI, and platform transformation opportunities within client portfolios.
• Identify expansion opportunities ahead of formal demand generation, converting on-the-ground insight into qualified pipeline.
• Contribute technical strategy, solution shaping, and differentiated content to proposals, RFPs, and transformation bids.
• Shape technology-led consulting engagements that position Xceedance ahead of competing vendors.
• Showcase Xceedance engineering and technology investments in support of the client roadmap and business outcomes.

Architecture & Solution Strategy

• Define enterprise architecture strategies aligned with client business and digital transformation objectives.
• Develop and present the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and multi-year technology roadmap, both internally and to the client.
• Define target-state architecture and phased transformation roadmaps.
• Lead architecture reviews, platform assessments, and technology selection initiatives.
• Lead enterprise modernization initiatives that align technology investment with strategic business objectives.
• Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures for infrastructure and security services.
• Research, evaluate, approve, and govern AI-enabled productivity tooling across application development, infrastructure, security, and privacy.

Delivery Governance & Execution

• Partner with Xceedance delivery leadership to ensure solutions are delivered as designed and architectural intent survives execution.
• Filter, consolidate, and clarify requirements before engaging offshore teams, allowing those teams to focus on execution and delivery.
• Improve coordination across technology towers and between onshore and offshore teams, eliminating delays and communication gaps.
• Ensure leaders and teams are equipped with the context, clarity, and tooling required to execute effectively.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point, providing immediate response to emerging concerns, risks, and opportunities.
• Foster an enterprise-first, outcomes-driven culture focused on accountability, clarity, and execution excellence.

Reporting Structure

Matrix reporting relationship with Strategic Accounts leadership in the US and Technology & Digital leadership in India.

• Primary reporting line — SVP, Business Leader, Strategic Accounts (USA): client outcomes, account strategy, and commercial performance.
• Secondary reporting line — Vice President, Technology & Digital (India): architecture standards, solution quality, and delivery facilitation.

Qualifications

Required

• 15+ years in technology architecture, enterprise architecture, consulting, or digital transformation, including 7+ years in an Enterprise Architect, Principal Architect, Consulting Architect, or equivalent leadership role.
• Enterprise Architecture — defining, presenting, and governing target-state architecture at enterprise scale.
• Client Consulting — advising senior client stakeholders in a consulting, advisory, or client-facing technology leadership capacity.
• Cloud Architecture — enterprise cloud strategy, migration, and modernization across major public cloud platforms.
• Delivery Leadership — ensuring architectural intent is realized across large-scale delivery programs.
• Executive stakeholder management, with the presence and credibility to hold a room of client C-suite leaders.

Preferred

• TOGAF, Zachman, or ArchiMate certification and enterprise architecture modeling experience.
• Azure and/or AWS depth — including AKS, Service Bus, and Azure AI Search; GCP exposure an advantage.
• Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform; CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery.
• Insurance platforms — policy administration, claims, billing, rating, and underwriting workbench.
• API strategy and microservices architecture, enterprise integration patterns, middleware architecture, SaaS platform integration, and event-driven architectures.
• Business architecture and technology strategy formulation.

Industry Experience

Experience working with insurers, MGAs, reinsurers, brokers, or insurance technology ecosystems preferred. Familiarity with the operating model, regulatory environment, and platform landscape of the insurance industry will materially accelerate success in this role.
