# Enterprise Architecture Operations LeadNew YorkFinOps150k+20/07/2026Full-timeHybridFavoriteAccess Job## Job Description## About the RoleThis position leads enterprise architecture operations across Mizuho’s application and technology landscape, with a focus on improving governance, visibility, and portfolio decision-making. It is a hands-on role that owns core portfolio management capabilities, including technical debt tracking, application-to-capability mapping, standards adherence, and future-state roadmap planning.The role works across technology and business stakeholders to deliver insight into risk, lifecycle status, duplication, modernization opportunities, and technology spend. It also leads the definition of the technical and financial inputs needed to model Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), supporting clearer cost transparency and better investment decisions.## Key Responsibilities– Govern and manage technical debt across the application portfolio, including taxonomies, scoring, remediation tracking, and reporting. – Maintain the enterprise application inventory, including ownership, lifecycle status, integrations, and key non-functional attributes. – Map applications to the business capabilities and processes they support to inform rationalization and investment decisions. – Track adherence to approved technology stacks, architecture blueprints, and engineering standards; identify duplication and exceptions; and support wider adoption of approved standards. – Update target-state architecture views, transition roadmaps, and dependency mappings aligned to modernization and decommissioning plans. – Consolidate portfolio data across applications, platforms, and services to produce dashboards and insights on health, risk, lifecycle, vendor exposure, and modernization opportunities. – Define the technical and financial inputs required for TCO modeling, including infrastructure, licensing, support, run/change costs, resiliency/DR, and end-of-life impacts.## Required Skills– 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technology portfolio management (TPM), or a closely related field. – Hands-on ownership of application and technology inventories, lifecycle management, and portfolio analytics. – Prior experience in the financial industry, such as banking, broker-dealer, asset management, or fintech. – Ability to work effectively in a regulated financial services environment, with knowledge of technology risk, audit, control expectations, policy and standard compliance, exception handling, and documentation discipline. – Strong understanding of modern enterprise technology stacks, including cloud/hybrid infrastructure, middleware, data platforms, integration patterns, and security fundamentals. – Experience with portfolio and architecture repositories and ITSM/CMDB tools such as LeanIX, ServiceNow, Apptio/TBM, Planview, or Alfabet. – Proficiency with Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau for dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting. – Strong influencing skills across application owners, engineering, infrastructure, security, and finance teams. – Strong documentation and process design skills, including portfolio intake/update procedures, data stewardship, controls evidence, and governance cadences. – Ability to define and enforce architecture standards, build target-state roadmaps, model TCO, and communicate portfolio insights clearly. – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. – Eligibility to work in the local market.Corporate Training## Preferred Skills– Advanced degree. – Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, BIAN, ITIL, FinOps, or TBM.## Cloud Platforms & Technologies– \*\*Cloud / Infrastructure:\*\* cloud, hybrid infrastructure – \*\*Architecture, Portfolio & ITSM/CMDB Tools:\*\* LeanIX, ServiceNow, Apptio/TBM, Planview, Alfabet – \*\*Data Analysis & Visualization:\*\* Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau – \*\*Enterprise Technology Domains:\*\* middleware, data platforms, integration patterns, security fundamentals## FinOps Responsibilities– Define the technical and financial inputs needed to support TCO modeling. – Include infrastructure, licensing, support, run/change costs, resiliency/DR, and end-of-life impacts in cost models. – Improve cost transparency to support evidence-based investment decisions. – Use portfolio analysis to recommend actions that optimize spend and resilience.## Benefits– Base salary range of $160,000 to $300,000. – Eligibility for a discretionary bonus. – Hybrid working program, with remote work depending on role requirements, department needs, local laws, and regulatory obligations. – Access to a generous employee benefits package.## Useful Links– Company Website: www.mizuhoamericas.com## Why You Might Be InterestedThis role offers broad ownership across architecture governance, portfolio analytics, and future-state planning for a large technology landscape.
