KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and establish the enterprise architecture practice from scratch, including its charter, operating model, services, engagement model with the IT PMO and delivery teams, and success metrics.
- Define and publish architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns covering applications, integration, data, security, and cloud.
- Stand up an Architecture Review Board (ARB) with a regular cadence, clear decision rights, and a lightweight review process that improves quality without slowing delivery.
- Select and implement EA tooling and a single source of truth for the application portfolio, capability map, interfaces, and technical standards.
- Build the architecture team over time, hiring and mentoring solution, integration, and data architects as the practice matures.
Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture vision and multi-year roadmap, aligning applications, data, integration, and infrastructure with business objectives and growth priorities.
- Create and maintain business capability maps and current/target-state architectures; identify gaps, redundancies, and rationalization opportunities across the application portfolio.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI capabilities within Oracle and Salesforce, and recommend adoption paths that deliver measurable business value.
- Define architecture patterns for integrating acquired businesses onto Chase platforms to accelerate M&A integration and realize synergies.
- Serve as the lead architect for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and SCM, including Financials, Procurement, Order Management, Inventory, Manufacturing, and related modules.
- Own the Oracle Fusion solution design authority: enterprise structures, legal entity and ledger design, chart of accounts, and security and role design, including segregation of duties.
- Enforce a standard-first approach, governing configuration versus extension decisions and use of Oracle Visual Builder, PaaS extensions, and Redwood UX.
- Ensure the Oracle Fusion environment remains upgrade-safe and aligned with Oracle's quarterly update cadence, with regression testing and impact analysis built into the release process.
- Define the Salesforce architecture and org strategy across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and related clouds, including data model, security and sharing model, and environment strategy.
- Establish Salesforce development, release, and DevOps standards, balancing declarative configuration with custom development and governing managed packages and AppExchange usage.
- Design the quote-to-cash and customer data flows between Salesforce and Oracle Fusion, ensuring a consistent customer, product, pricing, and order record across systems.
- Define the enterprise integration strategy and standards, including API-led connectivity, event-driven patterns, and appropriate use of batch, real-time, and file-based integration.
- Establish Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and/or middleware standards, reusable integration patterns, naming conventions, error handling, monitoring, and alerting.
- Govern use of Oracle Fusion REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, HDL, and business events, as well as Salesforce APIs and platform events.
- Maintain an enterprise interface inventory and ensure integrations are secure, observable, documented, and supportable.
- Define the enterprise data and reporting architecture, with FDAIP as the analytics foundation for Oracle Fusion ERP and SCM data and a clear strategy for blending Salesforce and other source data.
- Establish reporting best practices and a clear decision framework for when to use OTBI, BI Publisher, FDAIP, Salesforce reporting, or enterprise BI tools.
- Partner with finance and business leaders to define a governed semantic layer, certified KPIs, and a single source of truth for key metrics.
- Establish data governance standards, including master data management (customer, supplier, item), data quality, lineage, retention, and access controls.
Architecture Governance, Security & Compliance
- Embed architecture review into the project lifecycle so that major initiatives are assessed for fit, reuse, cost, risk, and alignment with standards.
- Partner with cybersecurity to ensure architectures meet identity and access, data protection, and privacy requirements, including single sign-on and role-based access across platforms.
- Ensure architecture supports SOX controls, audit requirements, and business continuity and disaster recovery objectives.
