Job summary
Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia is seeking an Enterprise Architect for its AWS-focused Hyperscaler Managed Services team in Slovakia. You will design enterprise cloud architectures, define migration strategies, and lead architecture governance across multiple engagements.
You will collaborate with engineering, product, managed services, sales and executives to deliver large-scale cloud transformations, promote AI-assisted delivery, and drive automation and cloud-native practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in IT with cloud transformation and enterprise architecture.
- Deep AWS expertise in virtualization, networking, security and managed services.
- Led large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of landing zones, governance and enterprise cloud adoption.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevSecOps and platform engineering.
- Translate business requirements into executable technical strategies.
- Experience guiding technical stakeholders from engineers to execs.
- Experience building service portfolios, standards or reusable frameworks.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes and cloud-native tech (nice-to-have).

We are looking for an Enterprise Architect for AWS team in Hyperscaler Managed Services.
Enterprise Architect is responsible / accountable for development and optimization of IT architecture on Enterprise level. For this purpose, this role carries out analysis and evaluation of customer and technical requirements, develops implementation concepts and holds accountability for implementation.
- Define and drive Deutsche Telekom's architecture standards, methodologies, and service offerings.
- Act as a technical leader across multiple customer engagements and internal initiatives, shaping migration frameworks, developing scalable service portfolios, defining architectural standards, and guiding strategic transformation programs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product organizations, managed services, sales, and executive stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
- Actively influence the evolution of the migration portfolio, automation capabilities, AI-driven delivery models, and cloud adoption best practices across the organization.
- Identifyand evaluateinnovations in technology fields and beactively involved with implementation within the Group and in the industry (standardization, open source communities, suppliers, interest groups, patents, etc.).
- Define migration and modernization strategies for enterprise customers.
- Act as lead architect for complex cloud transformation initiatives.
- Drive architectural governance across migration programs and cloud platforms.
- Provide technical leadership during critical customer engagements and strategic opportunities.
- Serve as trusted advisor for cloud adoption, operating model transformation, and migration execution.
- Design target cloud architectures and landing zones.
- Build and maintain production systems on AWS using ALB, ELB, WAF’s, S3, Serverless, API’s, Route53, etc. with the use of IaC (Terraform and CloudFormation).
- Review and approve high-impact customer solutions.
- Support architecture decisions across networking, security, operations, automation, and cloud-native services.
- Drive architectural consistency across multiple delivery teams.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks.
- Promote DevSecOps and platform engineering practices.
- Lead initiatives focused on AI-assisted migration assessment, design, documentation, and delivery automation.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and integrate them into service offerings where appropriate.
- Continuously improve scalability, repeatability, and operational efficiency of migration services.
- Support strategic pre-sales engagements and solution workshops.
- Participate in deal reviews, architecture boards, and executive customer discussions.
- Review commercial assumptions and technical feasibility of migration programs.
- Contribute to business cases, proposals, and product roadmaps.
- Represent Telekom as a cloud transformation expert during customer and industry events.
- Mentor architects, engineers, and technical consultants.
- Establish architecture communities and knowledge-sharing practices.
- Review design artifacts and provide technical guidance across teams.
- Act as escalation point for complex technical challenges.
- Influence long‑term technology direction and architectural standards.
- Serve as point of escalation, review, and approval for architecture issues.
- Manage the conception, planning and implementation of the contractually agreed services results.
- Lead technical workshop with customer to gather parameters required for migration.
- Have 10+ years of professional experience in IT with strong focus on cloud transformation and enterprise architecture.
- Possess deep expertise in AWS platform, virtualization, infrastructure, networking, security, and managed services.
- Have extensive experience leading large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Understand operating models, landing zones, governance frameworks, and enterprise cloud adoption strategies.
- Have strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevSecOps, and platform engineering practices.
- Are comfortable translating business requirements into executable technical strategies.
- Can manage technical stakeholders from engineering teams up to executive leadership.
- Have experience building service portfolios, methodologies, standards, or reusable delivery frameworks.
- Demonstrate strong presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and mentoring skills.
- Are capable of driving architectural decisions in highly ambiguous and complex environments.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Have experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and automation platforms (considered an advantage).

Final salary is negotiable.
We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 2500 € /brutto.
