This is an opportunity to do career‑defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

Technology, Data and Intelligence (TDI) Team

The Technology, Data and Intelligence team is on a mission to accelerate Okta's scale and growth. We bring world‑class business acumen and technology expertise to every interaction. We also drive cross‑functional collaboration and are focused on delivering measurable business outcomes.

The Opportunity

The Architect, Finance and Legal Technologies will define and deliver the technology architecture strategy across Finance and Legal functions, enabling data‑driven decision‑making, automation, and operational excellence. This role will combine deep technical expertise with innovative thinking to modernise and optimise core enterprise systems—including NetSuite or Oracle (ERP), Conga, Anaplan, and Xactly. The successful candidate will leverage AI, machine learning (ML), NLP, and intelligent automation to reimagine traditional financial and legal processes/systems, enabling predictive insights, streamlined operations, and smarter compliance.

  • Lead the design and implementation of end‑to‑end architectural solutions for Finance and Legal systems, ensuring integration, scalability, and performance across the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain a multi‑year roadmap for modernisation across ERP, FP&A, Legal, and Sales Compensation systems.
  • Ensure systems are designed with identity‑first security principles, integrating with Okta and other IAM solutions for authentication, authorisation, and compliance.
AI and ML Solution Design
  • Architect and implement AI/ML‑driven solutions to optimise finance and legal processes—such as predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, spend optimisation, contract risk scoring, and intelligent reconciliation.
  • Partner with Enterprise AI team to operationalise AI/ML solutions/models within G&A functions, ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
  • Have working knowledge of any of the LLMs such as Gemini, OpenAI or Claude.
System Integration and Data Strategy
  • Ensure seamless data flow across ERP (NetSuite/Oracle), Coupa, Scout, Anaplan, Conga, and Xactly systems using APIs and middleware (Boomi). Define unified data models to support analytics and AI consumption.
Innovation Leadership
  • Identify opportunities to embed generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), and large‑language‑model (LLM) capabilities into core Finance and Legal processes, including financial reporting, close management, reconciliation, contract lifecycle management, and legal document automation.
  • Design and lead proof‑of‑concept (POC) and AI‑driven automations to reduce manual effort.
  • Lead from the front prototyping and demoing innovative solutions and newer technologies such as AI and automation.
Stakeholder Engagement and Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, IT, Data, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams to translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions aligned with organisational goals.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Security, and Engineering leaders to define technology roadmaps aligned with Okta business priorities.
  • Translate complex SaaS financial and legal requirements (e.g., revenue recognition, contract risk management, GDPR) into technical solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on Finance and Legal technology trends such as subscription‑based billing, AI contract analytics, and compliance automation.
  • Effectively influence executives and decision‑makers on solution architecture, system strategy, and adoption of innovative technologies to drive operational excellence and transformation.
Implementation & Governance
