You will guide development teams through the SDLC, ensure open, modular architectures, and coordinate across teams to align technical goals with mission priorities.

A Top Secret clearance and AWS certification are required, with a strong focus on DevSecOps, data migrations, and effective

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a solution architect or related role.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• AWS certification.
• Experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, including hybrid multi-cloud models.
• Experience migrating data from on-premises to cloud.
• Experience with GenAI-related code quality tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers.
• Self-starter, detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.

Job description

SMX is seeking a candidate that is able to work with technical teams to document the design and implementation of high-quality technological solutions and architecture models. This role involves providing technical assistance to development teams, documenting secure cloud environments, and ensuring system designs incorporate open architecture and modularity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing comprehensive design documentation, analyzing project scopes to recommend improvements, and coordinating across teams to ensure technical alignment and optimize communication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams to document high-quality technological solutions and architecture models.
• Document system designs that feature open architecture, incorporating modularity to consolidate sub-systems into secure cloud environments.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to support development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Write comprehensive design, sizing, and operational documentation.
• Analyze existing project scopes and processes to recommend and implement improvements.
• Leverage DevSecOps principles and stay current with new technologies and third-party applications to solve complex problems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of professional experience in a solution architect or related role.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• AWS certification.
• Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Deep familiarity with cloud architecture, including hybrid multi-cloud target architectures and operating models.
• Experience with data migration from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Experience with AI code conversion and an understanding of GenAI-related code quality tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to interface with customers.
• A self-starter who is detail-oriented, can work with minimal supervision, and consistently produces quality deliverables.

The proposed salary for this position is:

$105,100-$175,000 USD
