Job summary

SMX is seeking a solution architect to design and document high-quality technology solutions and architecture models. You will work with technical teams to ensure modular, open-architecture designs and secure cloud environments, guiding development through the full SDLC.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a solution architecture role, holds a TS clearance and AWS certification, and can communicate effectively with customers while driving improvements and DevSecOps practices across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a solution architecture or related role.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• AWS certification.
• Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Deep familiarity with cloud architecture, including hybrid multi-cloud target architectures and operating models.
• Experience with data migration from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Experience with AI code conversion and an understanding of GenAI-related code quality tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to interface with customers.
• A self-starter who is detail-oriented, can work with minimal supervision, and consistently produces quality deliverables.

Job description

SMX is seeking a candidate that is able to work with technical teams to document the design and implementation of high-quality technological solutions and architecture models. This role involves providing technical assistance to development teams, documenting secure cloud environments, and ensuring system designs incorporate open architecture and modularity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing comprehensive design documentation, analyzing project scopes to recommend improvements, and coordinating across teams to ensure technical alignment and optimize communication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The proposed salary for this position is:

$105,100—$175,000 USD
