Job summary

State Street Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Application Security Architect to design, review, and govern security architectures for enterprise applications, APIs, cloud-native platforms, and AI-enabled systems.

You will partner with software engineering, cloud and cybersecurity teams to embed secure-by-design principles across the software and AI development lifecycles, and lead threat modeling, security reviews, and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline.
• 14 years or more of experience in application security, software engineering, security architecture, AI security, or related tech disciplines with at least 8 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience securing enterprise-scale applications across cloud, SaaS, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Deep expertise in SSDLC, OWASP Top 10, API security, secure coding, and application security testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures, LLMs, and responsible AI principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and review secure architectures for enterprise applications, APIs, cloud-native platforms, and AI-enabled systems.
• Define and maintain application security and AI security standards and requirements.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments for applications and AI solutions.
• Partner with development, cloud, AI, and cybersecurity teams to embed security controls throughout lifecycles.
• Provide expertise in secure coding, API security, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
