Job Description:
  • Our client, the world’s leading risk and claims company recognized as America’s Greatest Workplaces is seeking an accomplished Enterprise AI & Transformation Architect to drive their AI transformation strategy by designing, implementing, and scaling advanced data and AI architectures.
  • This role requires deep expertise in AWS (including Bedrock), Kafka, AI orchestration, agentic workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and experience operating at scale across legacy and modern enterprise environments.
  • You will architect cutting-edge Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions, modernize technology ecosystems, and guide the integration of emerging technologies, ensuring robust performance, regulatory compliance, and business agility across countries and lines of business.
  • This is a high-stakes, execution-focused role within our client’s AI Transformation Office. The AI Innovation group is a part of a business-critical initiative to adopt the use of AI to make their claims processing lifecycle more efficient.
What you will be doing:
  • Define and maintain the target enterprise architecture supporting Sedgwick's international transformation strategy, including Machine Learning systems, Generative AI platforms, agentic systems, and advanced architectures utilizing AWS (including Bedrock), Kafka event streaming, and hybrid/legacy environments, balancing performance, cost, scalability, and governance.
  • Design business and technology architectures for large-scale transformation initiatives spanning multiple countries, leveraging cloud-native (Azure/AWS) and on-premises legacy systems to ensure seamless, secure integration.
  • Develop reference architectures enabling the international deployment of AI, GenAI, and agentic workflows—including orchestration best practices and RAG architectures—ensuring consistency with the Group’s technology ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to reinvent operational processes and customer journeys by applying AI orchestration, event-driven architectures (Kafka), advanced automation, and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Evaluate technology investments, including AI orchestration platforms, Bedrock capabilities, event streaming (Kafka), and cloud/data modernization, and recommend future-state target architectures.
  • Assess different architecture options, identify technical, operational, and regulatory constraints, and propose solutions—such as combining traditional ML, GenAI, RAG, and agentic approaches—best suited to project goals and enterprise requirements.
  • Lead architecture governance for all transformation programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and the seamless transition of legacy platforms to cloud-native and AI-enabled environments at enterprise scale.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, analytics, event streaming (Kafka), and emerging technologies across the enterprise, facilitating their integration with both legacy and modern business processes.
  • Produce comprehensive architecture roadmaps, capability models, solution blueprints, and transformation plans reflecting the latest advances in AI and cloud.
  • Strategically determine when to employ traditional ML, Generative AI (including RAG), or agentic systems, and when to integrate them within enterprise-scale architectures for optimal business impact.
  • Define and oversee advanced knowledge management architectures—including vector databases, knowledge graphs, and memory layers—for enhanced search, reasoning, and decision-support capabilities.
  • Specify integration patterns and APIs to enable secure, high-throughput connectivity between AI solutions (including orchestration/agentic workflows), Kafka event streams, cloud services (AWS/Azure), data platforms, business applications, document management tools, and legacy systems.
  • Collaborate closely with agile delivery teams, Product Owners, and technology partners to ensure successful, scalable deployments of AI and cloud solutions in complex, international environments.
  • Support technical teams through implementation, providing guidance in integrating new technologies such as Bedrock, Kafka, and agentic/AIOps workflows, and resolving issues during deployment within enterprise and legacy frameworks.
  • Advise executive stakeholders with architecture recommendations, impact analyses, and technical insights to inform high-level strategic decisions and investment.
  • Implement LLMOps and AgentOps operating models, including evaluation, observability, monitoring, security, and lifecycle management of AI/agentic solutions at scale—ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
  • Lead the industrialization and scaling of AI solutions from pilot/proof-of-concept through international production deployment, including migration of legacy systems and ongoing enhancements involving AWS, Bedrock, Kafka, and cloud orchestration tools.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Enterprise Architecture, AI Architecture, Digital Transformation, Technology Strategy, or Technology Consulting.
  • Extensive, hands-on experience designing, deploying, and scaling Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI (RAG, agentic workflows, orchestration), event streaming (Kafka), and cloud solutions (including AWS, Bedrock) within complex, international enterprise and legacy environments.
  • Demonstrated success with enterprise-wide transformation initiatives encompassing technology modernization, process reengineering, operating model evolution, and change management across multicultural organizations.
  • Proven track record of designing robust application, data, and AI architectures for enterprise-scale deployments, integrating cloud-native and legacy systems.
  • Deep experience defining target architectures, technology roadmaps, and multi-year transformation plans in support of long-term business goals.
  • Familiarity with LLMOps, AgentOps, and advanced knowledge management architectures: vector DBs, knowledge graphs, and memory layers.
  • Ability to balance innovation, business value, regulatory compliance, governance, security, and operational resilience in highly complex technical environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to influence at all leadership levels and drive multi-disciplinary project success.
  • Experience working with international and multicultural teams.
  • Ability to support teams and solutions operating at scale, ensuring interoperability between new AI/cloud capabilities and existing legacy systems.
