Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Architect to design and implement enterprise AI solutions across manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.

The role blends architecture leadership with hands‑on development, prototyping, and collaboration with the Office of AI, business leaders, and vendors. The position reports to the CIO and will drive AI strategy, platform direction, and governance into scalable, production‑ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
• 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise AI/ML solutions.
• Experience translating requirements into architectural designs and ensuring governance.
• Hands-on prototyping with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, and model risk.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable AI architectures aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Build prototypes and move pilots to production solutions.
• Develop AI for manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.
• Partner with business and technical teams to embed AI into workflows.
• Ensure validation, user review, and human approvals where needed.
• Provide technical guidance to developers and vendors.
