Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at UCSF Fresno VA Medical Center seeks an ENT physician. The role includes evaluating and treating ENT conditions, performing surgeries, and educating residents within the Department of Surgery.

The position offers on-site work, on-call duties, and full VA benefits. Eligible candidates must hold an MD, a full medical license, Board certification or eligibility, and have completed accredited residency training.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license.
• Residency training in an accredited core specialty.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats ENT patients and performs related surgeries.
• Screen outpatients and inpatients to determine need for care.
• Perform histories and physicals and major/minor procedures.
• Prescribe medications and order diagnostic studies (labs, imaging).
• Provide educational instruction and supervise residents/fellows.
• Communicate with patients and staff in a courteous, respectful manner.
• Provide on-call coverage as determined by Service Chief.
• Other duties as assigned.
