Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in patient care and administrative duties.
• Ability to perform venipunctures, administer injections, and initiate intravenous therapy.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA rules, and OSHA regulations.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Record vital signs, patient history and prepare patients for procedures.
• Handle patient calls promptly and professionally.
• Assist with examinations, procedures and direct patient care.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including venipunctures and IV therapy as needed.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and equipment is sterilized.
• Communicate care plans with providers and document ordered diagnostics.
