Job summary

Brazoria County Head Start is seeking an ERSEA & Family Engagement Specialist to lead family engagement efforts and ensure enrollment, eligibility, and attendance align with Head Start Performance Standards. You will collaborate with campus staff, case managers, and administration to support recruitment, training, and data reporting.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, coordination of resources, and maintaining confidential records in a fast-paced Head Start environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in social/behavioral sciences and related experience.
• Two+ years serving low-income families is required or preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required or willing to obtain.
• Willingness to obtain ERSEA/Family Services credentials as needed.
• Basic familiarity with data systems used for enrollment and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops and analyzes the Community Assessment.
• Plans recruitment events and enrollment guidelines for Head Start programs.
• Designs and delivers program-wide ERSEA trainings for staff and families.
• Evaluates enrollment applications and eligibility determinations.
• Maintains enrollment and attendance records per Head Start standards.
• Prepares ERSEA reports and tracking updates.
• Coordinates with Family Case Manager to link families with resources.
• Assists Family Case Managers to ensure full enrollment year-round.
