Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant/Enrollment Assistant to support students at Brooks Elementary School. The role runs school days from 8:20 to 11:50, with duties spanning instructional support, clerical tasks, and coordination for substitutes.

Summary: Part-time position available from 9/29/2026 to 1/4/2027. Hours are 8:20-11:50 each day. Assist students with activities to maximize participation in learning and achievement of IEP objectives. Perform duties to work with assigned individuals or with groups of students to ensure students' learning and behavioral objectives are achieved, which may include the following:

  • Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
  • May be required to correct and collect homework assignments.
  • When necessary, assist in grading tests.
  • Help prepare assignments for absent students.
  • Serve as the chief source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the teacher.
  • Provide clerical assistance for classroom, such filing, copying, bulletin boards, laminate, data entry, etc.
  • Assist with classroom activities, such as organizing field trip, classroom projects, etc.
  • Use personal computer and general office equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Certifications/Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a valid Educator License with Stipulations (PARA), Substitute License, or Professional Educator License, and experience with special education students preferred.

Educator License with Stipulations (PARA) can be obtained by one of the following ways and applicants MUST submit their documentation to the DuPage Regional Office of Education in order for consideration:

  • At least 19 years of age
  • One of the Following:
    • Associate's degree or higher
    • 60 semester hours of coursework
    • High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro
    • High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Workkeys:
      • Applied Mathematics/Applied Math (with a score of 4)
      • Reading for information/Workplace Documents (with a score of 4)

Equipment: 1. Use general office equipment.
2. Use personal computers.
3. May need to operate adaptive equipment.
Work Environment: Work in standard school building environment.
Work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
Travel Requirements: Travel between schools may be required.
Supervisor: Building Principal and/or designee
Work Calendar: 5200
