Job summary

Urenco USA in Eunice, NM is seeking an on-site enrichment plant operator to monitor and run uranium enrichment equipment and related systems. A DOE security clearance and ERO qualification are required, with a 12-hour rotating shift (4 days on, 5 days off) including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Relocation assistance is available. You will progress through Operator training, gain control room qualifications, and participate in safety and emergency drills as part of a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 years of combined related work experience in a technical, chemical, or operations work environment, AND/OR education.
• 2 years MUST be in related work experience at an operating nuclear facility performing a related role (operator, maintenance, or RP).

Responsibilities

• Operate enrichment process and plant utility systems and equipment.
• Monitor, control, and operate uranium enrichment equipment to produce enriched uranium while protecting health and safety.
• Maintain plant logs, conduct routine tours, and report issues to supervisors.
• Perform Incipient Fire Brigade and Emergency Plan duties up to Incident Commander level; participate in drills.
