Qualifications
  • Must be Born‑again Christian.
  • Must be a credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Bible.
  • Must be able to support and comply with the school’s Statement of Faith and Statement of Conduct.
  • Understanding and commitment to UC Academy’s educational objectives and philosophy of education.
  • Must be a member of an evangelical, Bible‑believing church.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching or instructional experience strongly preferred.
  • Communicates in a positive, assertive and supportive manner, avoiding gossip and hearsay.
  • Fully commits to the UCA grievance policy and understands the Biblical plan for conflict and resolution.
  • Experience in youth programming, education, or after‑school coordination preferred.
  • Passion for creative learning, the arts and youth development.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently with strong organization and time management skills to maintain program structure.
  • Must have sufficient health and physical ability to be able to complete assigned duties.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills, with proper command of the English language.
  • Maintain a “solution conscious” attitude when faced with challenges.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • TB clearance within the last four years.
  • Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance.
  • Eligibility Verification Form (I‑9) and supporting documents required.

Program Development & Oversight
  • Design, implement, and oversee trimester‑based enrichment programming for K–8 students.
  • Develop engaging enrichment opportunities including arts, athletics, STEM, leadership, and creative learning.
  • Recruit, onboard, supervise, and support enrichment instructors, coaches, and volunteers.
  • Manage student enrollment, attendance, scheduling, and day‑to‑day program logistics.
  • Serve as a substitute teacher when needed to provide instructional continuity and classroom support.
  • Maintain classroom environments that are safe, structured, engaging, and conducive to learning.
  • Support teachers and administration in maintaining high academic and behavioral standards.
  • Supervise students during enrichment and instructional support assignments with consistency, care, and professionalism.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
  • Communicate proactively regarding schedules, updates, student needs, and program expectations.
  • Assist with school events, Open House, Discover UCA, and other campus initiatives as assigned.
Other Responsibilities
  • Provide general oversight in the use and care of school/church properties.
  • Supervise extra‑curricular activities as assigned.
  • Continual monitoring of student achievement and well‑being data.
  • Participate in school‑wide activities, in‑services, and committees as appropriate.
Physical Demands

Standing/Walking (60%), sitting (20%), lifting (5%), climbing (5%), bending (4%), squatting (6%). Must be able to lift 10–25 pounds.

Work Environment

Work environment includes indoor and outdoor environments and office and classroom settings. Floating desk assignment and/or shared office space may be required; moderate noise levels commensurate to an office environment.
