Enhancement Manager – BrightView Landscapes

Description

As an Enhancement Manager (EM) you schedule and direct personnel and resources to deliver quality, cost-effective enhancement services to clients. You support Account Managers in estimating, design, and client meetings, and sell enhancement services to clients, with or without base maintenance contracts. You oversee a commercial landscape portfolio and multiple service teams, providing day‑to‑day operational scheduling, training, and guidance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand client needs through regular communication with Account Manager(s).
  • Manage all landscape enhancement services, coordinating materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors to deliver quality work.
  • Inspect properties before scheduled service to prepare a specific action plan.
  • Understand irrigation systems, identify necessary repairs or adjustments, and communicate recommendations.
  • Monitor all aspects of the landscape and identify insect or disease problems.
  • Perform hands‑on work with crews to meet scheduling demands.
  • Implement and enforce BrightView policies and procedures for equipment upkeep, storage, use, and training.
  • Work with Branch Manager to identify staffing needs, hire new crew members, and prepare daily crew schedules.
  • Ensure proper paperwork for all employee changes and hires.
  • Communicate, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plans for employees.
  • Provide hands‑on training and support of crew members on equipment operation, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards.
  • Focus on safety and monitor safety records.
  • Maintain and manage all required administrative systems, including time sheets, job databases, and service schedules.
  • Order materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries.
  • Request purchase orders and use company guidelines.
  • Assist Branch Manager in enhancement sales tasks as required.
Education and Experience
  • Associate degree (minimum 2 years) in a business‑related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience within an organization, landscaping industry, or local marketplace.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Obtain and maintain a PLANET Certification (Installation of Hard and Softscapes).
Physical Demands/Requirements
  • Constant operation of a computer and office productivity machinery.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.).
  • Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day.
Work Environment
  • Work in an indoor office and outdoors during site walkthroughs and supervision duties.
  • Work outdoors in moderate to extreme heat, near automotive traffic, natural bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical/electrical hazards, and direct sunlight.
  • Requires protective clothing and personal protective equipment: eye protection, safety vest, gloves, hard hat, ear plugs, long‑sleeved shirts, and work boots.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $70k – $80k. BrightView offers a suite of health, wellness, and financial benefits for full‑time team members, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; ancillary and voluntary products; a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; 6‑9 company paid holidays; paid vacation and sick leave; tuition reimbursement; and potential variable pay opportunities.
