Job summary

Huntington Learning Center of Yorktown is seeking a Part-Time English Tutor to work with 11th and 12th grade students on English concepts and SAT/ACT prep. You will work one-on-one to tailor instruction and improve test-taking skills, helping students gain confidence heading into test day.

Join a program that already has individualized plans for each student, with flexible afternoon/evening/weekend hours, comprehensive training, and competitive pay of $17-$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Background in English, English Language Arts (ELA) or related field.
• Strong English skills and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Positive, patient and encouraging approach with students.
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Yorktown Heights center.

What We're Looking For:

• A completed Bachelor's degree.

Position Details:

• Position: Part-Time English Tutor - SAT/ACT Exam Prep.
• Pay: $17-$22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
• Hours: 10-30 hours per week.
• Schedule: Year-round position; we do not hire seasonally.

School-Year Center Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 2:00 PM-8:30 PM.
• Friday: 2:00 PM-8:00 PM.
• Saturday-Sunday: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.
