Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking an English Learner Program Teacher (ELPT) to lead and support the EL program across school operations. The ELPT guides teachers in EL instruction, coordinates professional development, and partners with school leadership to strengthen the instructional core for English learners.

Responsibilities include leading bilingual advisory efforts, coordinating mandated screenings, and engaging families to improve EL outcomes.

Qualifications

• ELPT role supports EL program administration and professional development.
• Responsibilities include EL data analysis and coordination of EL services.
• Experience with bilingual/ESL instruction alignment with CCSS and WIDA ELD.

Responsibilities

• Work with administration to support all teachers of ELs.
• Participate in grade level meetings and MTSS team.
• Coach teachers to implement high quality EL instruction.
• Engage in EL data analysis to inform instruction.
• Coordinate EL Program Reviews and collaborate with administration.
