You will reinforce learning, assist with strategies, supervise students during drills, assemblies, lunch, and field trips, and help create a safe learning environment that promotes growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree (AA) preferred or able to complete paraprofessional assessment.

Responsibilities

• Work with students to reinforce learning, understanding and skills related to the material and curriculum shared by the teacher.
• Assist teachers in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students.
• Support the supervision of students during drills, assemblies, lunch periods and field trips.
• Create a classroom and safe environment that cultivates learning and supports students’ growth.
• Support teachers in evaluating and celebrating student academic performance.
• Encourage students to uphold values and model good behavior in the classroom and school.
