Job summary

Triangle Fastener Corporation in Cleveland, OH seeks an Engineering Assistant to conduct product testing, collect and document performance data, and support engineering efforts in product development, quality assurance, and technical validation.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and External Suppliers to ensure products meet testing requirements. The role offers growth in a growing wholesale distributor with extended branch network.

Qualifications

• At least one year of product testing, laboratory, quality, manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering-support experience.
• Experience using mechanical testing equipment, measurement tools, and data-collection systems preferred.
• Technical education, military training, apprenticeship, or relevant hands-on experience may be considered.
• Associate’s degree or above in an Engineering related field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, and test procedures.
• Working knowledge of laboratory practices and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and related instruments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and preparation of clear technical reports.
• Experience with CAD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical, structural, and performance testing on products.
• Record test results, measurements, observations, and environmental conditions as required.
• Support Engineering with new product development and potential product offering projects.
• Assist with customer claim and field-performance investigations.
• Testing focus includes fastener pull-out, tensile, shear, torque, and installation-performance testing.
