Job summary

VTG is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support the Navy CETS program at Miramar, CA. The role provides technical advice for V-22 avionics or airframes, assisting with acceptance, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of systems and support equipment.

The candidate will be a technical expert on assigned systems, deliver formal and on-the-job training, and help monitor and improve maintenance procedures in a demanding aviation environment. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on experience within the last seven years in direct support of V-22 maintenance.
• Completion of Navy A and C schools or equivalent training related to the systems supported.
• Must possess a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on acceptance, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of V-22 systems and related equipment.
• Act as a technical expert on assigned systems and deliver formal and on-the-job training.

Overview

VTG is hiring for multiple Engineering Technician V supporting Navy CETS program at Miramar, CA that will be responsible for providing technical advice for either Avionics or Airframes and assistance on the acceptance, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of the assigned weapons systems and associated support equipment for V-22. Functions as a technical expert on assigned systems.

What will you do?

• Provide technical advice and assistance on the acceptance, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of the assigned weapons systems and associated support equipment.
• Functions as a technical expert on assigned systems. Provides both formal and on-the-job training for personnel engaged in the operation, maintenance, or installation of these systems. Discusses problems encountered and explains corrective action.
• Monitors operation, maintenance, and installation techniques and procedures, providing timely advice, assistance, and instruction.
• Demonstrates operation and maintenance procedures as necessary.

Do you have what it takes?

• At least five (5) years practical hands on experience within the last seven (7) years in direct support of V-22 maintenance.
• Must have completed a Navy “A” and “C” schools or service equivalent school, or Accredited Vocational Education Institutions training programs related to the system(s)/equipment being supported, or an OEM/Factory Technical training programs related to the system(s)/equipment being supporting the V-22/C-130/H-1
• Must have a DoD Secret clearance.

VTG’s base pay range is $39.50 per hour which is a general guideline for the California geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or market considerations.
