Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Engineering Technician to support State Approvals and document control across engineering projects. The role involves maintaining state submission records, ensuring compliance with state and third-party requirements, and providing drawings/calculations for review.

Responsibilities include tracking progress, updating logs, and coordinating with management, marketing and production to resolve documentation issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years engineering experience required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Familiarity with technical drawings and information.
• Good verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

• Under direction from Engineering managers, maintains projects that require State Approval.
• Ensures all drawings/calculations and paperwork comply with state and third-party requirements.
• Provides drawings and calculations to third-parties for review/approval.
• Tracks state submissions and maintains tracking sheets.
• Maintains document control and logs.
• Tracks jobs through the checking process.
• Checks and maintains state code updates and informs stakeholders.
• Contacts third-party agencies to check drawing approval status and requirements.
• Performs ComCheck and Energy/HVAC Calcs as required.
• Performs other duties as required by manager.

Supports Engineering department by administering all Engineering data bases and logs as they pertain to State Approvals. Monitors and ensures that all drawings/calculation documentation and paperwork comply with the various states and third-party agency requirements, as well as assisting the in-house PE with all license requirements.
