Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician in Palo Alto to assemble, align, integrate, and install RF structures, waveguides, pulsed power systems, and accelerator components. You will support high-voltage testing, operate lab test gear, and document results to ensure safety and accuracy.

The role requires an Associate Degree and 2+ years in mechanical assembly, electronics, or lab environments, with experience reading schematics and working with RF/high-voltage systems.

Qualifications

  • Associ­ate degree required in engineering technology or related field.
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly, electronics, or lab equipment experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on hardware in a lab or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, align, integrate, and install RF structures, waveguides, pulsed power systems, and accelerator components.
  • Support high-voltage and pulsed power testing following safety procedures.
  • Set up and operate test stands, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters.
  • Document assembly procedures, test results, and as-built configurations accurately.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
