Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a detail-oriented technician to support engineering with prototyping, testing, and implementing solutions for current and new production models. You will assist on multiple departments and collaborate across teams to improve machine performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical systems and a background in automotive/industrial tech, with travel and onsite work at Vermeer locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Technical school or skilled trades in automotive or related field preferred.
• Minimum three years mechanical/agricultural/technician experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prototype/new parts creation.
• Perform tests on machines.
• Assist machines through production in Machine Shop, Welding, Paint and Assembly.
• Assist Marketing, Service, and Sales as required.
• Organize, inspect, and check in parts for Engineering.
• Document test reports and changes to machines.
• Communicate new ideas to improve Vermeer products.
